Hello,
I'm using Windows Longhorn Reloaded M1 on VMWARE Fusion and VirtualBox and when the temp installer comes out in the end it says it can't write to certain reg. keys. Also when trying to run installers it and set-up networking it says my user account has inadequate permissions yet I use an administrator account.

Any Help or Solutions Please?

EDIT: If it would help here is the md5 checksum of the cd I used to install:

Code:
MD5 (LHR_M1_FRE_EN_SE.ISO) = 615f7c6c5e40f69e1a0d5077ea51004a

This is really somthing you should post in the Longhorn Reloaded Section at Joejoe.org...

The best possible advice when it comes to Longhorn Reloaded is just don't.
(No offence to anyone who worked on it) But its even more buggy and unstable than an unmodified installation of 4074, and for someone newer to the whole Longhorn thing, it doesn't provide a very accurate account of how XP became Vista, or the direction in which Longhorn was heading at the time.
You could go over to Joejoe and post this there, and I'm sure they'd do their best to help you, but in the end their responses will boil down to installing a clean build of 4074 and applying their "Windows Longhorn 2008 Beta 1" patch.

I generally don't hold alot of faith in any of these projects aimed at using Longhorn as a main OS, because starting a Longhorn project with that goal is like saying "I can do what the 89,809 people working at Microsoft couldn't"

Have you ever used build 4074 before?
-If not, you should try that out, Longhorn Reloaded is 4074 anyway.

Longhorn 08 Beta 2 is out there somewhere too ;)

And yeh. Longhorn Reloaded is complete crap. Get the real build.

Yes, I just downloaded the official windows longhorn build 4074, but I have a permissions error still when installing software and setting up the home network wizard. Is there a more stable or better build than 4074, if so could you please provide a public link to download it?

Thanks,
ajdesign419

Try 5048 or higher.
Pretty stable.

Otherwise just use Vista (6.0.6000.16386 or SP1 6.0.6001.18000)

Look in the public server section, or just wait until Andy approves (he has a live), and please don't be like many newbie's here: if you have access and the leave here.
We need more valuable members.
