I bought a 12" touchscreen LCD from eBay and I'm looking to cramming some little mini/micro/pico-ITX motherboard into a case along with the touchscreen and mounting it on my wall to screw around with. :P I found the picoPSU, does anyone have an experience with it? Also, I was wondering about suggestions for motherboards. I would prefer the board to use DDR2 RAM and it absolutely needs a 9-pin D-Sub for the touchscreen. I was looking at one of the Mini-ITX Atom board that I can pick up for about $70 but it has a big fan on it.

ALSO! mini-PCI would be nice for a wireless card but then I would need to figure out what to do about the antenna... suggestions? I suppose I could just use one of those crappy USB adapters instead.

I second the D945GCLF.

I use it in my home server and its brilliant. Passive heatsink on the northbridge connected to the chassis. Its a tranquilPC T7-HSAi. The case does get quite warm - but worth it for a silent home server.

Yes - the fan is over the NORTHBRIDGE. The small passive heatsink near the fanned one is the Atom CPU. Those 945's get damn warm!

I'm looking at the ECS 945GCT-D right now because it's fanless. Unfortunately it has an Atheros AR8012 chipset on it and I'm definitely going to be running Linux on this. Does anyone know about the state of Atheros drivers on Linux?
