Squidward: Status: Offline

After reading that Squidward has gone on vacation for a while, I decided it would be nice to place a tribute for him.

As a member of BetaArchive, I honestly feel like a great oppressive camel has been shoed away. It would be nice if the other members could say what they most admired about Squidward (Unless you knew him, in which case, please don't post)

I would assume this was the straw that broke the camels back...

The thing with squidward that I couldn't work out, is why he has only been a pain
for the last 4 to 6 weeks, if he's been a member since february this year...
& even though his posts were soooo - - "zammis-ish", I chose to ignore the fact...

Then I read a post he made one day, (yes I even read his posts - there's always something
to learn from someone in this world regardless of how silly they might seem)
ahh - where was I, yeah then I read a post he made one day, that made me see
why he might have just recently become a thorn in our side...

Image

I then figured he might recently be having issues with not have the authority
figure in his life, his dad, so I chose to just ignore his ever so annoying personality...

Though I must say, that figure he has in his sig, with the morbidly big nose, didn't
do him any favours as far as credibility goes, in fact when you read his posts &
saw that figure, it sort of forced an unliking to him because of the mental picture
painted by that figure..

That's Squidward (the octopus IIRC) from the children's TV cartoon "Spongebob Squarepants". I remember reading some of his more recent posts, he really sounded like he was trying to assert himself, you might be right KenOath.

I'm hoping he tries to come back in a few months / years, if/when he is up to speed again (Returns to be a contributing poster rather than a false-mod).

Leon, you're right - it was in bad taste, I'll remove that now. Just thinking... if he saw that (through proxying/friends) it might cause some harm.

Well I'm glad you all agree with the ban and understand why it was done. I NEVER like banning people, I never have and never will. However when someone is banned I don't expect people to make comments about that person in a topic publically viewable. I will let this one slip since there have been no bad comments made as such, and I've only just asked such topics not to be posted, but in future please keep comments to yourself. If you do have a complaint, please PM me about it and I'll do my best to come to terms with you.

I hope everyone understands why I'm asking this.

The overall negative attitude towards those two members, was partially due to the fact that they tried to draw unessary attention to themselves, somthing we should all learn from.
