Maybe the GIGABYTE's dual bios is designed for its easy-die bios *hehe*

Yeah, I ran a beta bios on the thing. No idea why I did that, but I wanted to upgrade the BIOS for newer CPU support, which ended up making the thing very unstable. So you are correct on the "easy-die bios" thing. ^^

I upgraded my desktop a few weeks ago, so the current spec is:

Intel Core i7 8700K (hex core)
ASUS PRIME Z370-A Motherboard
Corsair H45 Hydro Watercooler
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3000
AMD Radeon R9 290X (existing GPU)
256GB Samsung 850 Pro SSD (OS)
480GB Sandisk SSD Plus SSD (Games)
1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1 HDD (Storage/Backup)
Corsair RM1000 1000w PSU

I upgraded the CPU, Motherboard, RAM and Cooler which cost ~£700.

I plan to upgrade the GPU and monitor in future but since I only run 1080p at the moment it's handling everything just fine. I may also get another 16GB of RAM as I find some games using a fair amount now pulling it up to 70-80% usage.

I'm a bit of a cheapskate (as I've got all used hardware), but here's what I got.

Main laptop:
Lenovo Yoga 700-14isk
Intel Core i5-6200U
8GB DDR3-1600
256GB SSD
Intel HD 520
Windows 10 Home N x64

Workhorse desktop:
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (planning to upgrade this to a quad core Xeon)
8GB DDR2-800
500GB HDD
Nvidia GeForce 9600GSO (really loud and powerhungry, might swap this one out for a GT 730)
Windows 8.1 x64

Secondary desktop:
Lenovo ThinkCentre M58
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB DDR3-1066
120GB SSD
Intel GMA 4500
Windows 8.1 Pro N x86
This is the machine I use for VPC2007 and 86Box.

File server:
Lenovo ThinkCentre M55
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500
2GB DDR2-667
160GB system drive, 1TB data drive
Windows Server 2016 Core

This is the stuff I use daily; I've got a lot more systems, but I don't want to go too much into details. The beta testing machines are in the signature, though

I don't mean to sound like I'm criticizing, but something doesn't feel right about those specifications, because:
1. There's no such thing as a 1.5 GHz Pentium II (their frequencies ranged from 233 MHz to 450 MHz).
2. DDR RAM wasn't mainstream in the 1990s. In fact, it wasn't mainstream until the Pentium 4 era. What you most likely have is PC-100/133 SDRAM.
3. There's no such thing as a Pentium 5. I'm assuming that Dell is actually a Pentium Dual-Core judging by the year.

Sorry, my bad. I didn't think there was no such thing as "DDR" in the 90's, but I believe it is SDRAM. And I don't know what version of Pentium existed in the late 2000's, but yes, I think my Dell Inspiron 530S does have a Pentium Dual-Core. I was born in the early 2000's, so I don't know too much about vintage computers, but I do know a bit about them.

Had this laptop for several months now, got it to replace the aging gdv6t-2000

MSI GE62VR 6RF
CPU: i7-6700HQ
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Storage: Samsung 970 Pro 512GB + WD Blue 1TB
Laptop originally came with an HGST 1TB, but I don't trust HGST(I've seen too many of these fail). The HGST wound up failing 5 months after purchase with light use as secondary storage.
OS: Server 2012 R2 Standard.
GPU: Nvidia GTX1060 + Intel HD 530

This one replaced the Latitude XT. Far superior, even to the HP

Lenovo x230T
CPU: i7-3520M
RAM: 12GB DDR3
Storage: Samsung 850Evo 500GB
OS: Windows 9834 + Longhorn 4042 Dual Boot
GPU: Intel HD 4000
