according to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Xeon) (look for "Prestonia") supports HT

there is also an option in the BIOS about HT, I would turn-it on, but Im afraid it might kill my proc

so does my proc support HT or not? I don't really know

what do you guys think

No it does not. Xeon CPU's with HT are only on 667mhz buses and higher. You have a 533mhz bus.

As the Intel page points out, your model doesn't support HT, so Wikipedia is wrong. And enabling HT on a system that doesn't support it will not damage anything, since the CPU and system will simply not use HT, even if the BIOS has it enabled. The BIOS setting is only for allowing HT to be used if the hardware supports it, which in this case it doesn't.

I guess you need a "Paxville" or better to enable HT and a faster bus speed which by itself improves speed.

Just make sure your motherboard and chipset supports the new mobo. Not that I know why you need a Xeon specifically, but mobos are more picky about those than regular Duo's and Quad's...
