I heard here a while back that 3683 was leaked by this guy from microsoft who lent his disk to his kid and the kid uploaded to the internet and millions of people downloaded it, the guy was then sued millions of dollars, lost his job and had social services take his kid away,

Is that true (that social services part sounds a bit over the top)

It's stories like this that put people off leaking rare builds... (Like there most be someone out there in the world of beta-collecting who has some new Windows 7 Builds but he is to scared to leak them)

Wow, this story is hard for me to believe, because the chances of a kid smart enough to upload a build is just incredibility slim. Also, there are many ways to obtain/leak builds, such as having connections with people who have them

He was 15 when he leaked it.... (hm so that's the meaning of EmoAddict15)

He's online on my WLM contact list so yeah he's still around.

14, and I'm no ordinary teenager. I frequently act like a mature adult(habit) and I take things seriously(another habit)

I'm actually telling the truth. I'm haven't done anything bad here, all I did was post facts, opinions and asked a bunch of questions. If you still don't believe me, you don't have to.

Lol, its not that I don't believe you, you just sound like your big-noting yourself much.
It's not as if your unique (no offense) a rather large portion of forum members are around this age.

It's one of those urban legend type things, ya know, the big evil corporation ruins the little guys life.
Its a pretty popular story in the torrent community.

I am only 15, nearly 16, and I would NOT be scared to leak things like Longhorn/7 builds! Even if I did get the sht for it, I woukd still be happy to leak things as a contribution here and other places like JoeJoe.

I know many teenagers who do the same, so its nothing unique but its just rare.

Oh yes, I know a lot of teenagers do it, and I wouldn't do it for that ''15 minutes of fame'' moment. Its just say for example, we haven't seen another Longhorn Build leak since August last year, and would f***ing serve the scene right for beign greedy and not sharing!

That's crap. It's far too easy to leak anonymously nowadays (Just look at our RaF), the only issue is if there is something in the package/build that can identify the leaker.

You clearly have no understanding of how things like this work...

It's all about trust, with an attitude like that you'd never get anything unleaked because you can't be trusted.

There is someone I know, believe it or not, (DO NOT ask who!) who is try to get unleaked stuff for me, but I wouldn't leak them, only because I made a sincere promise not to.

What, like the last time you had unleaked stuff? 8-)
You're too gullible.

I know, to avoid a major argument, why don't you have this topic locked?
