Anyone care to well... tell me what I should remove/keep in an XP install for an EEEPC? My friends parents bought one but they hate Linsux and he came to me asking what he should put on it. I thought WinFLP but honestly XP SP3 is faster on new hardware.

What EEE PC is it? Without shrinking the OS I believe you need at least the 4GB model to do this.

The original one, the 701 (I think) with either 2 or 4GB SSD? Not too sure

IIRC all 701s have 4GB SSDs except the "Surf" models, those only come with 2GB.

Tell them to return it and that they would be better off spending the same amount on the cheapest laptop they can find new or a decent two/three year old used laptop.
