Ive read that you cant run longhorn or any other os with good visual effects in virtual pc
with the effects turned on is there any other such software that we can use and be able to turn on the visual effects

Anyway, the point is that Virtualisation software is incapable of emulating a graphics card powerful enough to produce visual niceties such as Aero.
