While I may be a windows supporter, people are entitled to have their own opinion, and we must all respect that.
I personally am not going to say somthing like "windows is the superior operating system" because the last time I actually owned a Mac was a legacy hand-me-down, back in 1998

I doubt my favourite will always be windows, every time I walk ino [censored] Smiths (Aussie tech store chain) I find myself spending more and more time in the Mac section.

Hmm. Got medical advice yet?

I prefer Windows to anything else by some margin.

After having owned a Mac for almost 3 months, I can safely say I love Macs, but they don't love me. So I would have to say Windows. Macs just don't want to work for me.

Personally, I support Linux as it is a free and open-source operating system anyone can use, edit, or redistribute without any piracy risks. Not only is it also secure, but it's becoming more mainstream so that anyone can easily use it.

I've been a Macintosh user since 1992, and still am here in 2008. I've used Microsoft Windows since 1994 and am a little unhappy with its current state. I found that it was a lot easier to get things done back in 1994 when things weren't as "distracting" as it is now in Vista or even XP. Too many internet options, balloon pop ups, and "multi-tasking" actually keeps me from getting something done. I like the idea of having a few windows open here and there, which is why I believe Windows NT 3.5.1 SP6 is THE BEST operating system by Windows to date. But for security and internet reasons, Windows 2000 SP4 with the roll-up is the best.

I think Windows is the current best.
I have found Mac OS's GUI terribly unusable.

Honsetly, I can't quite say I like any. I need a OS that has a virtualized processor which is a scalable unification of all the computers cores :D

You can honestly say you've never thought about just going out and buying a Mac?

I use both.

Though I use Macs for most everyday things and am a general Mac enthusiast, I still use Windows for application programming (don't want to learn a new programming language that's compatible with Macs), Windows-only games, other applications that work only on Windows, servers, etc.

Neither. Windows is too unstable and unflexible, and Mac is voodooish. UNIX-based systems (other than Mac OS X, that is) are intuitive, well-documented and easy to modify, which is why I prefer them.

I like them both. But i find Windows more "usable" since it supported by most software vendors

While I well and truley dislike Linux, this poll should have had a Linux option, to be fair.

Agreed, on all counts.

Personally I'm a Windows guy though, does what I need and it does it well. OSX and Linux do have their upsides though, so I wouldn't quit using computers if you confiscated my Windows discs.

And an "all of the above" option.

Both...

I have a mac as my main computer, but I know far to much about windows just to ignore it. I aint a Apple or Microsoft fanboy, they both have flaws... but mac just somewhat looks better...

I like Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

Why only confine yourself to one OS when you can use all three? :P

I love Windows the most 'cause you can tweak it a lot more than Mac. But if anyone here hasn't used/tried a Mac, you should try iATKOS. It's really good.
