I can't seem to do it. I tried to capture build 2454 and 2458 of Windows Whistler, there was no effect at all. The ISOs are not corrupted, and it doesn't happen with all ISO files, I got build 5048 of Longhorn to work. They wasn't even an error. Do I need to boot it from some operating systen, or do I need to change the BIOS clock if that works?

Are you sure the ISOs are bootable, what is the VPC doing on bootup, if it is jumping to the network boot screen, either the CD is not a high enougth priority on the BIOS or the iso is not bootable.

ive testyed a fair share of the Whistler builds, and they work fine (but thats with Virtualbox, VPC is too slow for me). use MagicISO or some clone of it to make sure its bootable.

Otherwise the best virtual platform is vmware workstation. windows whistler/xp builds runs faster as in virtual pc...check it out! some whistler boot disks are available on the BA-ftp-server. good luck.

I tried to make Whistler 2257 boot from cd with the source boot disk of XP Sp1. And I success in that task. But I only remember I must edit some lines in txtsetup.sif. How what i can't remember extractly. If you like you can try rebuilding Whistler image, then test it with any program like Microsoft Virtual PC, Virtual Box ( Sun ) or VMWare ( I rarely use VMWare cause it's so heavy with my lap ).

Just use my Fix Disk of Whistler Setup disk.

It boots with the HYMEM.SYS activated for fast setup.
But make sure that the entire i386 is on the harddrive.
