Pre-Windows, in the late 70's, Microsoft developed a type of BASIC to run on Apples machines, and that article's from 1984, so I'm guessing they still had a good wotking realtionship, though aparently they still do.

Watch this if you haven't seen it before ;)

A lot of Microsoft's software eg some of the Office apps was available for Mac before it was made for Windows, the two companies actually have a closer relationship than you might expect.

Yeah, it was kind of like a documentary. It starts before Apple was founded and ends when Steve Jobs left Apple.

That's not too out of the ordinary as Apple and Microsoft did have quite a strong friendship. Now Steve Ballmer with a Mac, that would be confusing.

Yes, he has a rather nasty habbit of laughing hysterically whenever anyone tries to talk to him about Apple, or an Apple product.

Apple foresaw the future. Just replace the Apple II in the first picture with a modern laptop, and you get something that is common these days.

Except for the fact that the wife is in the kitchen cooking, and the husband is handling the familys finances.

It was, after all, the 1970s. Apple wanted to show the future of home computing, not of the typical western family.
