I like the new recording of Canyon.MID, and the Windows Welcome Music (XP setup music). What's your favorite music that has been included in Windows?

NT logon sound
NT Logoff sound

I know the next two don't count...
OS/2 Warp 4 Startup sound
OS/2 Warp 3 Shutdown sound

I alos like the logoff sound used in Vista, I think it fits nicely to the classic moon/window icon in NT 4.0

The XP Setup one is quite nice, though quite often you don't hear it as you don't have any sound drivers at that point in the installation! :p Windows should be like OS X where you get a really cool intro video and music when you install it!

I love the NT 4.0 sounds! I wish I had the NT 5.0 Beta 1 sounds too(Beta 2 has it as well, but I like the Beta 1 boot screen). And the OS/2 does kinda count, for some reason Steve Ballmer called OS/2 'Windows Plus' back at when Windows 3.0 was released.

That is the version of Canyon.mid I listen to all the time. I don't really like some parts of the original version though...

OS/2 was originally a joint project between IBM and Microsoft, meant to eventually replace both DOS and Windows. After Windows 3.0 was released and became an instant hit, Microsoft wanted to make OS/2 more like Windows, and IBM refused. The project was split into OS/2 2.0 and Windows NT 3.1.
