So I've had my VAIO a few years now. I've upgraded what can be upgraded, and I got bored with it. So I decided to spray paint its ugly greyness with a few cans of Plasti-Kote.

Two quick (and extremely blurry) pictures I took with my phone for a friend:

It's mettalic blue on the outside, gloss white on the inside with the speaker grille and mouse buttons also being mettalic blue.

Will upload camera quality pics later.

To anyone who's wondered about doing this sort of thing -- go for it, it's worth it if you do it right.

I've always wanted an iBook or a MacBook so i could have the Dark Side of the moon cover art painted on it.

Anyway yeah, from what I can tell, it looks like a pretty good paint job.

Eugh damn, I forgot about the size.
*reuploads to main BA server*

The pictures don't do it justice, any white bits are probably polish I havent quite buffed out, or shine that has blurred. :)

That's a very nice job you've done there. And the colour works well too.

I'm redoing the speaker grille atm so will add more inside pics later.

As for instructions:
•Dissasemble all parts to be painted, and wash with soapy water. Dry.
•Using the same brand primer as paint, prime everything with 2/3 coats.
•If the primer comes up rough finely sand it
•Leave 10 mind between coats of primer and then 10 mind before you paint
•Following instructions on the can of paint, paint everything. 4 coats is good.
•Leave for as long as possible to harden, I gave it a day and a half.
•Gloss if you want (I didn't ) and let harden again
•Polish
•Done :)

Mate, that is awesome work, well done! I'm really surprised, I haven't seen such a professional job on a laptop for quite a while.

Good job. Although I've always heard vinyl dye is best to use for modding computers.
