USB modem

Post by ___ »

I have a piece of s**t modem that when it is plugged in and i turn on the computer, it will fail to boot. it freezes on the processor detection part. It started turning on at one stage, but then windows crashed and it doesn't work again.

I have noticed this happens with an Ipod aswell.

Motherboard is an Epox 8RDA+ nForce 2

If you disable it, you'll probably lose the ability to use a USB keyboard and mouse at startup, for example to select an OS in a boot manager and probably also the ability to boot from USB devices. But it'll also prevent the BIOS from looking for USB devices, so it might solve your problem.
