OK, I have Windows 98 Second Edition on a old IBM NetVista and on the volume control application, it shows a TV Tuner option, does that mean I have a TV Tuner Card in the NetVista Tower?

As I said in the IM earlier, you've got to look inside the case to see if you've got a TV tuner...

Apparently some models of the NetVista did come with a TV tuner so there could well be a TV tuner inside the tower somewhere.

IBM could of just used the same application on all NetVistas, your best bet is to open up the computer and see :P

OK, I just opened up my case and i don't see any hints of a TV Tuner Card in there, however I'm glad I'm opened, I needed to clean that thing, it was dusty as all heck

There is most likely a connector on your motherboard (or at least on the pins of the sound chip) which is used to connect to the sound output of a TV tuner card... so the sound output from the TV card would go through that input. It's a bit nicer than having a cable go out the back of the TV card and go into your Line In connection, like some cards do. :P

Cleaning dust out of a computer can do more than clean it. A video card I had once that kept making strange glitches/artifacts on the screen. Once I had opened it up and cleaned the dust off the video card it worked fine.

If you have one of the old compaqs that has weird star shaped screws you may find that using a kitchen knife will let you turn the screw perfectly! :)
