For those of you that are constantly on the move it can be good to know that BA can be accessed through an iPhone or iPod Touch. Due to the excellent web browser it doesn't shrink, cut or destroy any parts of the website like regular cellphone browsers do. All functions on BA works perfectly, and there is no slowdowns anywhere. Navigating the vast screen area the forum takes up may be a chore, but it's quite easy to zoom in and out using the multitouch screen.

This post has been written on my iPhone 3G. The older iPhone and iPod Touch uses the same OS and browser (and basic hardware) the experience and functionality is identical as with the 3G model. Except for the lack of 3G/GPRS/EDGE on the iPod Touch which can be problematic on the field, but if you got WLAN then you are all set :P.

I also discovered that the iPhone has an excellent built in screenshot function (tell me a phone that has that!), so soon we'll get some great screenshots here too (as soon as I sync them back to the computer).

Here are the pictures I screencapped using the iPhone. For those of you wondering how to do it, hold the main button and tap the power button and the screen which flash. Connect the device to your computer and download the pics like from a regular digital camera. Pics are stored directly in lossless PNG format.

Writing the title. It does zoom in a lot, and the built in spelling correction drives me crazy (it's set to swedish, how fun is that when typing in english... it can be changed though.).

Here is the post headline... very easy to read, and you see the forum edges. So nothing is cut or cramped down.

---

Image

Here are the headlines zoomed in a bit. Just put two fingers on the screen, and slide them apart to zoom out, or together to zoom in... Double tap for automatic alignment. Very easy :P.

Here is the post I made...

Here is the entire post vertically. It's a bit harder to read so you need to zoom in a bit. But it still shows how well the browser renders the page. It includes all images, margins, colors, signatures... the lot.

Good. I'm planning on getting an iPhone 3G in the next 1-2 weeks.

I've been browsing this site on my iPhone for over a year now - incredible experience at first, isn't it? Even under EDGE it's really not that bad.

Good post i did wonder how the browser on the Iphone was, just wondering how you find typing using the touch screen on the Iphone, it’s never really sounded too appealing to me.

A lot of new phones have proper browsers now that are capable of rendering most websites perfectly, the browser on my N95 is also based on WebKit like the Iphones.
If your intrested there a few screenshots of it here:

I must admit the bigger screen on the Iphone looks good for browsing the net :)
