Racing Games?

Post by Beta Freak »

Anyone play any for the PC (or console)? I play Race 07 on PC, I tried LFS (live for speed) once and couldn't really get into it.

Edit: Poll added to thread.

I use a Joystick or Keyboard when I play racing games (LFS as the OP said he tried). I would get a wheel but I don't have any spare cash to get one let alone the spare time to play it!

I find that the keyboard (in conjunction with the mouse in some games) is good enough for me for PC gaming. Of course, I prefer a controller over a keyboard for games.

I use a Logitech Dual Action (2) controller. Works just like a PS2 controller. Although I have used a 360 wired controller before.

I use the keyboard.
My optical mouse stopped working (something has to be with the cable) and now I only have an old ball mouse.

I played an unknown Japanese racing game (the name changes between the installer, download sites, game...), Midtown Madness (yet another old skool on XP) and, not at all racing, GTA San Andreas.

I used to play the first two NFS games with a racing wheel, a couple other random PC games too. Then I moved on to Gran Turismo for PS1 and the sequels. I've played through Forza Motorsport 1 but not the second one yet. Haven't played any of the Gran Turismo games since the second one came out.

I have an old machine laying around that I sit down and play NFSII:SE on every once in a while. Those Glide graphics with my 3DFX Voodoo 3 2000 look AMAZING!

I never could get into the newer NFS games though... they seem a little stupid IMO.
