I have a stupid problem with vista home premium last time it crashed and now i can't
open the control panel :( looks like its broken

Reinstall Windows using the Restore CD.

Make sure the Software Licensing service is enabled, open the start menu type "services.msc" and check if Software Licensing is running. I had this error before, but it was me who turned off the service.

Also some old cracks i think resulted in this.
Are you cracked or is it a legit copy?
I can`t remember which cracks caused this but if you need i`ll have a butchers at a different forum i use and see if i can find out there.

Have you tried this ? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936686/en-us although i don`t think this counts if your on sp1, but give it a go...

Or a little search turned up this..

1) Launch services.msc from a run command
2) Find the SLUNotify service & stop it
3) Find the Software Licensing service & stop it (it may say that ReadyBoost needs that service to run; stop it anyway)
4) Restart both services, starting with Software Licensing


Or
