Hi!! I've a little problem... After a BSOD, the desktop display the content of C: unit.. I've found this string and i've set them to original desktop directory, but when i restart the computer, it reset on C:

Quote:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFolder\Desktop [ set to C: ]

I've try to edit the string on safe mod with cmd.exe without start the explorer.exe but the problem stay :(

Maybe you have some sort of ad-ware on your computer doing this. or a virus, Post whats in your Run registry key and i'll try to see for you (or post a HijackThis log)

If a reinstall fixed it, I'd at least give a "repair install" a try first. If that works, you wont have to reinstall all of your programs.
