Uh... I would have to say a pack of gum.

If you are talking about technology, I guess the cheapest thing I've bought would be Cat5 ends.

The cheapest thing I've bought technology wise was my Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop a few months ago. Only paid $6.00, like new working condition.

Specs:
600MHz PIII
256MB RAM
40GB HD (5400RPM)
CD, Floppy, and Zip swappable drives included.
Cisco 802.11b wireless PCMCIA card

Not bad, eh?

Once got a guitar for £1.

Bought a laptop for a tenner too.

Apart from that, I think I'm in the wrong part of the country for bargains :(.

Yea I am in the wrong area as well, I bought some stuff for pretty cheap off eBay like a 4 port USB PCI 2.0 card for around 10$

SD 1 GB cards for $10 as well

Card readers for around $8

and a RCA Splitter (I have a ps1, FC Twin, a satelite reciever and a PS3 hooked up to the TV) which I believe I purchased for around $8 as well.

But the cheapest thing i got was an IBM XT machine with all kind of software (was very jong so everything was destroyed, i regret it) for about $0.50.

And DOS 5 with Windows 3.0 in 5.25 inch floppy's for nothing.
(i bought it off a site like ebay, but in dutch, www.marktplaats.nl)

Yeah, my uncle gave it to me, along with a legal Windows 2000 CD.

BTW, you guys should thank my uncle Fred. He had his leg blown off for your freedom.

BTW2, my uncle Fred had a Chevelle with a 396 back in '69. He drove the heck out of that car. He'd do burnout just to show off, lol.

Yeah, my uncle's cool like that.

Unless I count the pile of stuff I've got for free over the years, I could probably count my laptops, costing less than £10 each (and most costing much less), digital cameras for a couple of quid a pop, camcorders for just a few pounds, my big, hardcore-looking Yamaha (music) keyboard for 50p...

It's hard to remember it all, but I've never paid a lot for my tech really unless it's brand new, and I haven't really had a lot brand new, I've never needed it.

That's the way I got my things too. All of my Tech items have been gifted.
I now have a Toshiba T1900, a Compaq Presario 1245, and 1200, a Toshiba X205-sli1, a Toshiba (forgot model), two reel recorders, one wire recorder and 3 turntables, as well as an 8 mm projector. All free!
:D
