Hello! I was scanning something today and my UPS shut down because of a brown out/power surge whatever, and it shut off my computer while scanning. I'm going to stop using the UPS now (obviously), but a white line appears in the middle of all my scans.

I should be able to return it by mail, but is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? If it could be easily fixed, I don't want to jump through all the hoops and wait a month to get a replacement. Thanks in advance!

On a whim, I decided to try a scan using a very high dpi (2400 I think), and it started working again just like before! Scanning at a lower dpi behaves just like it should as well.
