Not too much has changed since the last time I posted here; just a new TV and a few additional PCs.

Well, mine looks almost the same as it always has, except behind it there's a new addition.

And the new addition:

Windows Defender for great justice! Bugs are an international trading company. I need to defeat the anti-debugging and obfuscation methods. It wasn't for Intel's absurd ability to load in ie6. Why even waste time with people in an envelope?

There are two modern PC's (workstation on Xeon X3320, and testing PC on c2d E8400). Vintage computers are in other place in my room :)

Image

1. 486 DX4 100Mhz, 32MB RAM, SVGA
2. Pentium III 1400@1600Mhz, 512MB RAM, Geforce FX5200
3. Celeron 433@583Mhz, 256MB RAM, Riva 128ZX
4. Athlon XP 2000+ 1666@2100Mhz, 512MB RAM, Radeon 9600 (My first PC)
5. AMD K6 400Mhz, 256MB RAM, S3 Trio 3D
6. Compaq Deskpro 5133, Pentium 166Mhz, 128MB RAM, SVGA
7. 486 DX 33Mhz, 8MB RAM, VGA (The oldest)

This typewriter is from 50's. I got this through "office hardware upgrade" in my area.

One of the "desks" in the garage. The other one is just a LCD monitor, cheap keyboard and cheap mouse on an old dressing table. Also, bad image but meh.

One note though: Ignore what the drive sleds say, the Sun actually has a single 250 gig and the Poweredge has a single 80 gig drive. The sleds are just there so I don't loose 'em.

So after having my home server sat on my 2nd desk for the past few weeks i've eventually kicked it back into it's pit in the garage. And then dumped my HP slimline system which I got donated and been working on.

How do you manage to keep a bass amplifier on a desk (with a fan on top!)?
You don't play with it knobs turned up, standing there, right? *hehe*

It's only my babby 15w i've got my gigging amp in the garage which is a 300w beast by Ashdown. It's rare that i play loud now, next door put noise complaints in a few times :p

You know, all of you have desktops, and the only desktops I got is a Mac Classic and Pentium III 500 Mhz. I like being able to have portable power.

Performance wise laptops will never match a desktop. I'd like a nice powerful laptop, but the batteries just don't last long enough and they're not much upgrade potential in a laptop. Now, having a nice powerful rig and a small laptop/netbook/tablet for on the move i find is the best way. More-so when in not at home chances are i wont have the time to play games/photo work/other demanding things. I can simply wait till i'm home.
