1x Blu-Ray Re-Writer/HD DVD ROM Drive (£172.49)
1x DVD Rewriter (£16.00)
1x 700W PSU (£79.99)
1x Hauppauge TV Tuner Card (£49.99)
1x Creative Soundblaster (£27.89)
1x UPS (£56.99)
1x Case (£92.83)
1x 7.1 Speaker System (£69.99)

1x Mouse (£35.94)
4x SATA Cables (£10.20)

I love making dream PC's, sadly I cannot afford them :(

My dream PC would include:
4GB RAM Minimum
A 64GB SSD for the operating system alone.
1TB HDD Space (split over 2 500GB drives) for storage.
A Skulltrail motherboard, coupled with 2 quad-core extremes.

I'll probably build a new machine later this year (or acquire a 24" iMac).

Intel Xeon E3110
4GB or 8GB of DDR2 RAM
P35 chipset motherboard (probably Gigabyte)
GeForce 7300 (gaming's a waste of time to me)
1 or 2 500GB SATA drives, maybe a 15K SAS drive for the OS
DVD±RW drive
330W 80-plus PSU
probably: TV tuner card, FireWire 800 HBA

No need for a new keyboard, mouse, monitor or case.

While this is by no means a badass machine, it's a nice machine IMHO and one that will satisfy my computing needs for some years to come. I see little sense in speccing a super-hyper box with the most expensive components available that a) would be major overkill and b) I could never afford.

Eh... Just a +250gb hdd and +2GB of ram to my current PC and I'd be happy.

(Current PC is an AMD Sempron 2600)

Adding a good video card and two 1TB hdd's (RAID 1) to my current machine would make me happy. (Core 2 Duo 2.33, gigabyte micro-atx mb)

Well, my lap computer has an Nvidia SLI with 756 mb. Yet, i'd love a 2 240 gig hdd rather than the original 120.
And 8 gigs ram.!

Argh! You stole my idea!

Intel Skulltrail
Quad SLI GeForce 9800 GX2
Dual QX9775 Processors
8GB DDR2
PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1200 ESA
3x HP 24" LCD

That already has me at more than a new car, so throw in the other components and I'll be happy.

Aptiva 2158240

AMD k6-3 350Mhz (upgrading to 500Mhz soon)
ATI Rage Pro
512 MB ram (before i got the beast, a repair shop somehow removed the limits, normally a 128 MB ram limit, aida32 reports 0MB ram max.)
3.5 in floppy drive
5.25 in floppy drive
cd-rom drive (going to get a burner soon.)
160 gig WD ATA HDD

OS of choice: Windows 2000 (only for apache, otherwise, Windows 98 SE)

My dream computer would feature:

1x Core 2 Extreme QX9770 (when it comes out) ~$1350
4x 2GB DDR3 RAM $1350
4x 1TB HDD $1200
1x 775 Motherboard with heat-pipes $400
1x Water cooler system $100
2x Geforce8 8800 GTX $1000
1x 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers $100
1x Case with lighting $100
1x DVD Writer $50
1x Blu-Ray Writer $450
1x Card Reader $10
1x Fan for Case $10
1x 800W PSU $150
1x Wireless keyboard $50
1x Wireless mouse $50
1x 30 inch monitor $2000

that comes up to a grad total of $8370 + 13% tax (tax not includes in prices) = $9458 CAD = ~€6360 EUR = ~£4862 GBP
