Nice specs, but i have to say one thing, that is one extremely cheap case.

I have one computer left I built myself, Tabaqui, which is just an older AMD64 3000+, but has an Antec Sonata II case. I do have to say, the Sonata Series is ownage.

Why spend money on a nice case when you're not going to be looking at the case? You're going to be using the pc, right?

Why bother with a case then? I have a very nice cardboard box I'll sell you. :P

Appearance is not everything, internal design and build quality also matters. (Not saying the case you chose doesn't meet the above, I don't know.)

Everyone seems to be going for these bling bling light up cases/lights these days. Not that I see any thing wrong with that, but it's not my style. Which leads to point 2. Why I choose the Antec Sonata, the Durability to price ratio. It matched perfectly.

ADD: Sorry for hijacking the thread. This is really the end of it.

I'm not a bling-up case person, it just happened to come with fans that had blue lights on them.

I agree completely, I also hate these bling bling cases (after having had one for two years), I want it minimal yet beautiful and functional. And reliable of course. I also like the Antec Sonata very much.

Ah. Well I've pondered building a green case (yes, those see through cases) with the lights from scratch. I know someone who can help me out with it and I got a supplier for the parts for it.

I can't read japanese, but the case has been moved from the development link supplied on that page. A wayback link is at http://web.archive.org/web/200708102333 ... index.html

On that page, you can see a still active link to http://www.box-master.com/

I love "bling" cases, other PCs just look so dull after getting mine! (though I've never had one before so maybe it's just a stage we all go through... :P) - this is mine:

:)

With all the lights and the screen you can pretty much light a dark room up with it! :D -

@Vista: Macs don't look dull despite not having bling-bling cases, do they?

Hehe, well I suppose Macs don't need the bling to be able to look cool... ;) So which of my computers do you prefer the looks of then, the bling or the not-so-bling:

It might be old-fashioned looking, but it is an Apple Extended II, widely regarded as the second best keyboard ever made and second only to the IBM Model M... ;)

:o Sacrilege! :P The poor Mac is scared just thinking about the idea of being forced into a PC's case! Though it should be possible if you really wanted to do such a thing as the Beige G3 is largely an ATX system unlike earlier and later Macs, the only problem would be getting the ports on the back to fit an ATX case as I think they don't fit exactly and you would need one of those rectangles with the port holes that fits in there (the G3's one is part of the case I think, whereas PC motherboards usually come with one that has all the holes in the right places for the board).
