Daft as it might sound, I've been trying to set phpBB 1.0.0 up on my website (for historical interest), but it won't let me install; it keeps telling me after I put the details in that it can't create the tables in the database, even after telling me that the database is fine. Is there anyone here who could tell me how to get this thing working? Thanks.

I'm just wondering...What version of MySQL and PHP are you using?

I'm running mySQL 5.x I think, and PHP... something quite new. It's not my server, I'm hiring it from Streamline, and I can't install different software on it.

*Looks for SETVER for linux* :)

Rather wanted to get that working, too :(.

What it was I was doing was; I want to start my own software forum (a way, perhaps, of publicising my own software collection and making it more widely known to be available). I can use phpBB2, but I thought 1 looked cool 8).
