I've noticed a lot of discussion about this recently, so I thought why not open a Poll to see what types of connections people have.

Please vote and comment.

Slow dial-up connection. I downloaded more than 3 GB of ISOs on it.

ADSL2+ when at home and GPRS on the road. Going to upgrade to 3G soon though (hopefully).

You might as well have dial up at those speeds. Its barely double dial-up as it is.

10 long years, frig the scene anymore.

Kids think they have deep in sources at the age of 12, why bother caring when no one receives respect anymore, they assume bullcrap, but that's all they are.

39.99 euros / month.

The subscription is 18 Mb / 1 Mb, but I live close to the DSLAM, and actually get 24 Mb.
That's using a D-Link Modem and Router, instead of the crappy Livebox from Orange ...

All that sounds great, until you see the offers possible with fibre connections ...

ADSL2+ 24Mbps/1Mbps with crappy 20GB limit (cause of the backhaul to Australia costing heaps :|) though if I paid more I'd get more...

I only have a Dial Up connection right now, and unless you're downloading files from an FTP client, it can take an hour to download only a 3 MB File. However, I'm going to get a Wireless connection tomorrow.

We just got our new Wireless connection today, however, I voted Cable because they brought it in from the cable line and although I'm using this new connection right now, I'll still be using Dial-Up most of the time until I install an Ethernet adapter in the PC upstairs.

Just get an ethernet/WLAN adapter...so much better than dialup. Once you change to something faster you dont go back to dialup ;p

Private connection is 100/10 fiber, no limits (except lousy 10mbit upload :P), no cost.

Lousy 10MBit upload... I've to get by with a fraction of that. :P May I ask what kind of connection this is? Are you "piggybacking" on an university connection or something?
