Is it possible? I tried installing Server 2k3 on this box I have which, at the moment only has 64mb of ram (some more RAM is coming this week, OK?) and I got this error

Quote:
This computer does not have enough memory to run Windows.

This version requires 128.00 megabytes (MB) of memory (RAM).

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3

How can I skip this to install Server 2k3? thanks

Use nLite to remove the restriction or you can edit an inf file if i can remember correctly, but nLite is the easier way.

Either way Server 2003 on a 64MB of ram would be murder..........

If you don't want to use nLite, change the value of "MiniumMemory" in the DOSNET.INF:

DOSNET.INF wrote:
[Version]
signature="$Windows NT$"
DriverVer=10/01/2002,5.2.3790.0

[Directories]
d1 = \I386

[Miscellaneous]
ProductType = 2

MinimumMemory = 134217728

DestinationPlatform = i386

ServicePack = 0.0

[UnsupportedArchitectures]
halcbus.dll = %cbus2_mp%
halcbusm.dll = %cbusmc_mp%
halmca.dll = %mca_up%
halmpsm.dll = %mps_mca_mp%
halncr.dll = %ncr_mp%
missprocfeat = %missing_proc_feat%

Not really. I've run a machine (AMD K6-II 400) with 96 MB of RAM and a 4 GB harddrive. It ran smoothly even with visual styles (I installed the Watercolor theme :P)

I just used nLite and removed the memory requirement.

Took like an hour and a half to install onto a 6GB hdd from an iMac :P
But its running smoothly now

I just installed server 2003 on a dual p2 333, has fair amount of ram, but Os can be trimmed down to about 50 meg of ram used at desktop with no other programs running. so you may be able to get away with it if you don't try to multi task to much.
