Happy New Year!

Post by Andrew »

Happy New Year!
For everyone stuck in yesterdayland (2007) I wish you the best for your new year's eve celebration tonight, whatever you're doing I hope it goes well.

If you're already here then I hope you've made a new years resolution, I hope you met last years and, whether you believe in new years resolutions or not, I hope 2008 goes well for you.

Myself, I was at a neighbourhood get together where many people have come from Holland - some of the kids have only been in NZ for a few months and can't speak english. Playing frisbee with a 4 year old was a lot of fun, and then later I sparked conversation with a dutch woman about the drug scene in Holland; I found out that she was a scientist who had worked extensively with my drug of choice to simulate schitzophrenia on animals and explained how it breaks down nerve cells and can lead to parkinsons at a younger age, and also can make people psychotic - I'd never learned any of this. Very scary stuff, the last lesson I learned in 2007 was well worth it. While in conversation with her it went past 12pm, no-one noticed, and at about 12:04 we noticed it was 01/01/08.

1st January 2008... seems like the expected release date of a computer program, its hard to believe it's finally here. If you're having a quiet one then happy new years!

Happy new year,

We had some trouble litting the fireworks, because it was really foggy and you couldnt see more then 1 meter.
So tonight (1.1.2008) were going to lit the fireworks.
