I was just googling for the so-called "German Beta Group" {which turned up ZIP}
surprise surprise 8-) , & found that someone has taken some screens of
chicago I upped to the screenshot section here & made a quick desktop
flick of then onto youtube here...
Not that I'm bothered, just wondered who it was as I don't recall seeing a
post here of someone saying they were doing such...

im glad to see someone did this,its about time, its getting harder and harder to run these old betas so now people can just watch the videos.

Sorry for the slight bump (as I've been out of town).

If the shown Chicago Build 40 is genuine, can we assume that the Desktop was never introduced yet back then?

Instead, Program Manager's shell turned into the Cabinet toolbar (at the the bottom of the screen) and minimize icons became boxes on the desktop that aligned along with the toolbar. We can then assume 58j/s introduced the Desktop "program" itself, in which the Cabinet "Explorer" was actually used as the new shell for moving files.

Unless someone can correct me, this is my theory for Build 40. :)
