Internet Explorer 8.0 will be introduced at MIX 07, at the Venitian Hotel in Las Vegas between April 30 and May 2.
we have to wait for the first version

If the speed of IE8 is faster than Firefox 2.0, then I will use it.

The reaction time of open a new tag in IE7 is slower than Firefox, and it is easy to crash.

No, saying "Firefox FTW" is fanboyism because its saying Firefox is "always" better, saying "I prefer Firefox more than IE" is a personal opinion. If you want to be petty and leave, feel free. Nobody is stopping you.

Someone who's obsessed with a certain thing, or company...and IMO "FTW" doesn't indicate an obsession....an example of fanboyism is someone who says "M$ SUCKZ LOL AND APPLE OWNZ" on a regular basis without producing reasons.

Oh, and also, Wikipedia backs me up on this...

Fanboy (sometimes spelt fanboi) is a pejorative term used to describe an individual (usually male; the feminine version fangirl may be used for females) who is utterly devoted to a single fannish subject, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession. Fanboys remain loyal to their particular obsession, disregarding any factors (often including logic) that differ from their point of view.

ZOMG I SAID "FTW", I'M UTTERLY DEVOTED TO THIS THEREFORE A FANBOY, BAN ME NOW
lol, internet

Does the truth hurt.
Perhaps a shake up & a good look at the governing bodies here might
liven the place up a little.

I've installed IE 7 and never used it. Firefox works much better, and I never have had to install bullshit to stop pop-ups or anything.

I really don't think IE will get as much ground as it did before with IE6 and IE5.5. Firefox is made available much much much more easily and for many more platforms than just Windows.

IE 8 can't have anymore features, hopefully a different HTML processing engine, but probably not. It won't be more eifficent or anymore prone from crashing, just more eye candy and more "user protection"

IE 8

Microsoft have told testers that Ie 8 will be released to a few testers, but that was like 6 month's ago. I dont think Microsoft will release Ie 8 as an alpha, but maybe a beta some time from now, Hopefully soon as we would need it to fix our sites as early as possible to support ie 8.

IE8 alpha passes the Acid2 test: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2007/1 ... stone.aspx

Personal opinion: At least! I always hated to spend (way too) many time to hack web pages to look same on every damn browser.

to be honest, I feel that IE8 will be very similar to Firefox. I don't know if it will behave just like Mac....... We will have to see what the outcome will be.

I agree on that!
I've been testing IE7, with Firefox 2, and Firefox 3 and Firefox 3 is heaven, since Gran Paradiso Alpha 1!!!
And Firefox 3 has only crashed 3 times in 3 mths!!
