Think this is the right section to post in... (obviously) move this if it isnt!

So I have OSx86, and tonight, out of pure boredom, I wanted to install it on a HDD (not in VMWare). Now, on my 40GB data partition on this HDD (that the .iso was on,) I deleted the ISO as I was running out of space and I had the .ISO on a DVD... but...

Now the .ISO won't copy from the DVD :(

If there is ANY recovery software (cheap obviously) that will recover .ISO files, PLEASE post!

My chances of recovering the file should be pretty good as I haven't put anything on the Data partition since I deleted the OSx86 iso.

I've had luck with a program called MultiStage Recovery Professional. A quote about their product:

Quote:
MultiStage Recovery is professional data recovery software for Windows. Using the program, scanning and recovery is very fast and reliable. With comprehensive detection, it finds EVERYTHING that can be restored...

I believe you can download a free trial to see if it can find your files, but you have to pay in order to have it actually recover something.

Thanks for that - will try now.
Edit: unfortunately (with a quick scan) it didn't pick up the .iso.
I'll do the long scan and check when I wake up...

Edit: unfortunately it seems it doesn't pick up .iso files.. argh!
