Any card these days should run CS:S but if you want anything more then I'd cut back on something and spend some more on the GFX.

Don't spend money on Lightscribe, very few cds support it and they cost way too much (like 17 USD for a pack of 100...).

I would reccomend buying a better motherboard because MSI is know to break (a lot...)

Also, unless you are running out of space, I would reccomend you not buy a MicroATX as they rarely have more then 4 PCI slots (usally only 3). This will be a very annoying limitation. Furthermore, MicroATXs require good cooling hardware, to function properly (which will cost you money...)

The motherboard is still MicroATX, and the GeForce 7300LE is a pretty low-end graphics card, better than your on-board GPU maybe, but not much I'd say. If you can afford it, you should at least go for a mid-range GPU such as a GeForce 7600/8600 or the equivalent Radeon (X1600 or similar) if you want to be on the safe side for future games. Also, buying two RAM sticks instead of a single one (i.e. 2 512MB ones) will enable dual channel mode which gives a bandwidth (and thus possible performance) increase. Similar for the CPU, the Pentium Dual-Core is not slow, but certainly on the low end. If you can, I recommend you to go for the slowest Core 2 Duo, these will have a better performance and better overclocking potential, if you need.

I thought the Pentium Dual-Core was the scaled down version of the Core 2 Duo?

Yes, it has less cache (1MB L2 vs. 2 or 4MB on the Core 2 CPUs) and thus achieves a lower performance in some areas. But there's nothing terribly wrong in choosing an E21xx. Which system are you upgrading from?

This was a pretty low spec PC when I built it 2 years ago, it was my first complete pc build. I added the 250gb HD last month, the NEC DVD burner last year, and the rest is original.

Would the Pentium Dual Core be better than the Sempron?

That's a way unfair comparesion since Sempron is NOT dual core
You should at least compare it with an Athlon64 X2

Well, the Sempron64 has one core, the Pentium DC has two. So I'd say it is better because the stuff I do greatly benefits from more than one CPU/core. If we only count one core, I'd say they're pretty much on par performance-wise.
