Recently I set Cool 'n' Quiet on auto, but with CPU-Z it shows me that the frequency of my Athlon 64 X2 remains constant at 2.5GHz.
When I first assamble this computer, Cool 'n' Quiet was enable, CPU-Z shows the frequency dropping to 1.0 GHz while idelling.

I'm using Vista ultimate, anyone know how to enable cool 'n' quiet again?

It probably is enabled but CPUz shows the CPU's maximum speed. You are better off getting the Cool n Quiet utility from the AMD site and using that to see the current CPU speed.

CPUZ only shows the current speed should drop. Try downloading the latest AMD Processor Drivers.

Dig into the power management settings. The frequency adjustment setting is usually in there somewhere.
