Wonder what the transfer speeds are for this drive?

Hint: Read the rotation speed...hehe.

The fastest HDs spin at 15,000rpm; WD makes some SATA HDs with 10,000rpm but these are available with 150GB maximum. Either way, I don't believe that. It's most likely a 7,200rpm drive.

Well it wasn't meant for anyone to believe, it was a joke... a hard drive spinning at 75,000 RPM would kill somebody, if it even got up to that speed.

I have two 15,000 RPM Seagate Cheetahs (146GB) and I can't wait to get those hooked up in a server :-)

Wow, those sound like great babies... *drool* If it weren't so tremendously expensive (and loud), I would go for SCSI/SAS again.

I think it's 7,500/7,200 RPM if anything.

No, he couldn't. At least not without killing it.

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

I lift my axe over the graveyard door!"
