How about "Yes, because I use free software"?

Yep, but only because MS gave me a free Vista - I wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise.

Yes, but only because of the same reason as Vista Ultimate R2.

There needs to be a third option, my PC (laptop) has a licenced VLK for XP Professional thanks to my school's laptop program. However, my second PC the 10+ year old laptop is also using the same key but I doubt I can use keys in such a way legally... did I also mention many other computers in my house (though not 100% mine) are using the same key...

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I use each computer equally, both doing a different task.

1) (for Linux/*nix and the like): Yes, because I'm using free software.
2) (for Mac OS X): Yes, because it came preinstalled on my systems.
3) (for Windows): mainly yes, because I try to get as much legal software as I can.

HAHAHAHAHHA...legal software? Oops... I think I've said too much.

I acutally do have a legal version of Windows XP and Office 2007 Enterprise, but only because we get it for $20 each at work.

Pretty much, every OS I have is legal. I've deleted any prototypes or betas after using them once since they were 1) illegal to own and 2) not usable...lol. Mac OS X Panther came with my PowerBook G3 Lombard from eBay, so I guess that's legal. And XP came with this computer.

Windows 3.11 for Workgroups came on the Packard Bell Multimedia CD.

I really don't know. This computer was from my mum's friend. Whether he used a legal version or not, I'm not sure.
