PostPost subject: Winworld Downloads...        Posted: Wed Jul 25, 2007 1:12 am
Has anyone noticed that WinWorld has taken thier downloads down..!
I went to install some MS games on a friends old Win98 computer &
found one of the floppies had gone bad, I hit WinWorld 1st to see if
they had the game but the downloads had gone, don't know why...
I still found a download of the game though, not much you can't find on
the WWW these days...

i think they took it down because zimmy couldn't afford to host it any longer, but the rest of the site was unaffected.

But i just checked now, and the sites down:

Well, luckily I've downloaded all what I needed to a while ago. Hopefully their new management does a better job keeping it up.

the site went down, WinBoards is dead, but not WinWorld. There was a different page 2 days ago, with a link to another site.

I am interested in their old downloads, I still have some, my FTP now has a 160 GB hard disk to fill up :P it will be up when the work on my house has finished.

There will be no new management. WinWorld is gone, for good this time.

The site recommends you go to http://www.abandonedabw.com, where many of the winworld forum members and some of the downloads have gone. :)
