This is probably the best bargain I have ever had off ebay.

I bought a PC for a client (recon) and managed to bag this:

Compaq Workstation (Tower, with valid W2K COA+Original Disk)
Dual 833MHz Pentium 3s
512mb Rambus RAM (256mb of which I will sell if anyone's interested)
4-head VGA Card (All works too!)
3x 20gb SCSI Hard Drives

It cost me £22 in total (inc. shipping etc...) and it was delivered the next day.

I really want to keep it now (Linux Server springs to mind), but it's got to go to a client :(

Anyone else had good ebay deals?

Some of my personal good deals:

1. A working Pentium 100MHz with a 24x burner and a CRT screen (but later broken) for 200NTD(about 6.x USD...Don't know in pounds)
2. 2 PentiumII mainboards with CPU for the same price (from Acer and ASUS. The Acer one works fine and currently been used to convert audio tapes to WAV. The ASUS one is broken though)
3. A 486 notebook from Toshiba for 486 NTD (about 16.x USD) :D
btw this seller is pretty funny...He also sales a 64MB SD card for 64 NTD
4. A working 386/387/486 mainboard for 129NTD(about 4.x USD)

Nice one, amazing what you find on ebay.

I don't shop on ebay, but you can get some nice stuff at car boot sales (kinda cross between a garage sale and a flea market for you USA-ians).

I've picked up numerous laptops (admittedly kinda old ones) from sar boot sales for next to nothing, almost alway less than £5, though a couple for up to £15. Some have good batteries and some don't but in general they're working but to old for most people to see as useful.

Can't say I've ever picked up a powerhouse like that 'un though. :D

That rambus ram is probably worth the money alone, rambus gets expensive.
