Right, I'm sure some of you noticed my little gigabit server project, so I thought I'd post a thread here with some pictures from LANo.

First off, what is LANo?
LANo is one of two LAN parties held in this town. It is hosted at HiN, the local university college, which has access to a fiber connection.
The name is based off a norwegian soap bar, called Lano.

I was part of the (small) stage-crew, me and two other guys, we were responsible for on-stage competitions, rigging the stage and projectors and music.

The other party is NaIT, which is much larger, LANo har at best 100 people with 30 crew, NaIT has up to 700 people and some 150 crew.

The pictures

The backbone, which both me and the server was directly connected to.

Closer look.

Shaky picture of the back of the screen we used to project video etc.

Projector up, with the stage-box screen in the corner.

Image
My dual-desk (That's twice what the proletariat get) on the second floor (We're too important to sit with the rest of the crew), note that the 19" is the server, and the laptop has the server open in Radmin.

Image
The floor, where everyone else sits, the crew sits behind the screen. Bonus: BA member big-t is in this shot, but I'm not going to tell you where.

Another shot, the server, the backbone and the stage-box and the projector on a wastebasket.

The stage, the stage-leader Entrak is packing up the AV equipment.

My spot, in the middle and the rest of the stage crews spots as well.

Wrapping it up.

Just thought it would be interresting for the other BAers to see what we do up in the north.

Also, I'll be sure to announce the server in October a few days ahead, that'll give you goon neckbeards enough time to get a new drive.

Pretty cool :) If only my college would host a LAN like this. They have enough computers! :)

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

Only thing was that attendance was lousy, we were expecting 100-150, we got 50, I blame it on marketing.

Also, I got a pretty rad t-shirt with the logo.
