I tried to install Windows Vista Home Premium, after installing and when it just got to "Installing updates..." and it rebooted as normally, when I selected the boot entry, I get a black screen. Nothing.

What could be the problem?

Edit: I'm using WinBeta's combined x86 & x64 Image

Try to repair the boot menu by starting setup from the bios, click repair instead of installing windows. There should be a option there to fix boot problems.

Still doesn't work for some reason. I left it on for like 5 hours and it hasn't been moving since.

I would try reinstalling it, not worth trying to save a system that might not work anyways. Being on the boot menu means it worked at one point. Try reinstalling.

Waiting for 5 hours!! Wow!

I did reinstall it one time. Gave another 5 hours.

Still didn't work. Probably my computer is rigged.

Btw, Vista x86 seems to work.

And yet another problem is that I can't install XP either

Things are going really bad for me, at least Vista x86 still installs.

Like s_nd said, it sounds like you don't have a 64 bit processor.

If that were the case, I believe the install wouldn't even have started, unless the WinBeta image is doing things significantly differently.
