Favourite OS
IRIX 6.5.22
I'm not sure how many people are familiar with it, but the Typewritten Software - Software Library has a large variety of rare software listed and in their possession. It's interesting to see what they have imaged and have on hand. They have a lot of relatively ancient software they have been working to archive; none for download though. Just a displayi of what they are working to preserve.

Of personal interest:
4D1-2.0 (super rare)
AIX 1.2.1
AIX for RT architecture
SunOS 3.2

Very interesting to check out.

That is indeed pretty impressive

Too bad no downloads (at least not on the surface of things). :( It seems like they're just starting, though, but even so it's a lot of time and effort to build and maintain public access to stuff like that.

How long is it going to take for stuff like this to be recognized as historically significant and educationally valuable... Why do our governments fund meatspace museums but not electronic ones :x
