does anyone know of a program that allows you to mount virtual harddrives that are used on virtual pc. this can be done in virtual server, but i only hav vpc 2004.sp1 and 2007

Have a look at this website:
There, you can see how to mount a VHD file with a simple double click. You'll still need the vhdtool.exe and the appropriate drivers from Virtual Server, you could just try to copy them over to your install and make the appropriate changes in the registry.

If that doesn't work, I have heard that recent versions of WinImage (shareware, though) can open these images.

Don't forget that Virtual Server is available free of charge from Microsoft if you need it or some of the tools from it.

i didnt know virtual server was available free now, although i knew vpc was.
