Dell support seem to be good ... somehow my BIOS screwed up so now my Inspiron 6400 doesn't boot. It just says "Time-of-day clock stopped" which sounds rather serious. :P Anyway, one email later, and now they're replacing the mobo. Nice. ^_^

This is many months after they replaced the mobo and eventually the whole laptop after having cooling troubles... In the replacement system they upgraded me to a Core 2 Duo T7200 instead of the Core Duo T2500 that was in the original.

Am I just having a really good run here? Or are other places this good? :D

pr0gram the pr0grammer: You probably shouldn't be having those issues with a laptop in the first place to know how good a companies tech support should be :P.

Yeh, I know, but its good to know that they're at least helpful when their cheap, generally-low-quality gear screws up. :P

May I recommend I8kfanGUI for your Dell laptop? I've been using it to keep my Inspiron 5100 at a reasonable temperature and it seems to help quite a bit!

Code:

Wow, maybe I should've gotten a Dell laptop. I have a HP and whenever I call CS, I get a strong Indian accented person who insists that in order for them to fix anything, I have to pay $150 or did they say rupees? :P
