Pointless, never going to happen, and if it did, you would only be provided with a very much stripped down build, but they also wouldn't do that, because they arn't going to waste time to re-compile a build to give to some kids.

Trade secrets..IP..broken tech..unseen functions, many more to mention, but you get the drift.

Why request 4067 when you have so much to discover in many other builds that you already have? You just need to have a look, and you'll find many interesting things.

Is this an American "Sting Opperation"?

I would be happy to see this leak, if not for the compluslive desire to try to run it.

Well, i was one of the founders, and I think why shouldnt they relase them? they do not need the old builds anymore, and I bet they are still anywhere as isos...

Hey it's worth a try. I signed it and I notice that people sign it with their real name then with their screen name. say their name was bob and their nick was VistaAeroFreak. I see them sign the piton with both names.

Not that it hurts the piton just kinda weird... I mean isn't that illegal to sign something twice or to forge?

Somehow I don't see everyone using a Longhorn 4xxx build just because it's free :P You can get licences for NT4, 98 etc for free these days if you strike lucky, but people aren't using those instead of XP/Vista, and even those are better as an everyday OS than a Longhorn alpha ;)

But yeah, of course they would never release this - they've never even released Windows 1.x or DOS for free usage, and I don't think they can release things for free that have 3rd-party work in them, which it almost certainly does. And by "release", what exactly would they do with it? Put it on the Microsoft Download Centre ready for all the clueless PC users thinking it's XP SP2 to download (Genuine Advantage would have to be passed before downloading of course ;)) and wreck their system with?

lol sorry but it will never happen, why would microsoft release a rare product to users for no reason? no benefits to them, why not ask for vista source code to be released along side this build? im sure enthusiasts will be glad to get it and everyone is happy that way

and stop posting this on every forum you can find :P

I don't think this is even worth the time to try.

Their not going to release half-baked software now the full release is out. They don't want anymore people having glitchy software, they want them to buy the full thing.

Not to be too sensitive, but "I agree totally" is rather translated to "Ich stimme vollkommen zu" in German :)
