Recently, i was having problems installing installing WMP10 on WinFLP.
I got it to work doing this.

1) Download the WMP you want to install (i used WMP10: Download here )

2) Save the installer in My Documents

3) Goto Start, Run, then type in "cmd" (without the quotes)

4) Type in "cd My Documents" (again, without quotes)

5) Then, type in "mp10setup /c" (...no quotes)

6) When the window pops up, click browse, navigate to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player

7) Hit OK and let it finish

8) Goto My Computer, at the bar at the top type in "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player" (nooo quotes...)

9) Start the program wmsetsdk.exe

10) Finish the Settings wizard and done!

AFAIK can you also just use windows update. That's a lot easier.
