We are pleased to announce that Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) is available. Windows 7 RC is the prerelease version of Windows 7. Since this is not the final release, your PC will gather and send information to Microsoft engineers to help them check the fixes and changes made based on testing of Windows 7 Beta.

Test-drive Windows 7 RC today to see for yourself—and to show your colleagues and customers—how Windows 7 delivers improved management, security, reliability, and performance.

Download Windows 7 RC

Partners: If you have a subscription to MSDN or TechNet, you can download Windows 7 RC now. Otherwise, you can download Windows 7 RC starting May 5, 2009.

I'm thinking that they are either still getting it onto the download servers, or accidentally made the page live to early.

But Technet and MSDN are the same for everyone, there is no special "Partner's Technet". The partners just get regular Technet or MSDN in addition to their other benefits.

I suspect it's just a case of it's gone live far too early.

Yeah I think so too. BTW, if you say Technet and MSDN is the same then what's the difference between MSDN Premium and MSDN Professional?

that would be rather difficult..because according to rumors the 7100 branch is RTM and according to another rumor it is in lock step starting with 7076

and the last known build in the RC branch was 7077

7100 makes actual seance for RTM but i highly doubt it given how quickly they have been compiling builds...

i would fall down laffing if MS gave us 7050 for the RC xD

meh we will find out in 2 weeks or so guess it dose not really matter

I,m a partner, but the page referred to in the link does not seem to be there for me?? Only the (now some months old) page referring to the closure of the Beta downloads.

P.S. Later. Ok. I've sorted it now. The page may have been accidentally put in the wrong filters. It was meant for OEM people only (Dell. Samsung..etc..) It will be a few days before lower echelon subscribers can get it. Before then I would imagine it will be freely available through the usual sources anyway.

It's getting kind of odd with all those Microsoft sites being published early... :D
