At the moment it's dead slow, and the uploader didn't bother to make an ISO of the release, he just extracted all the files from the disc and put it up. Apparently he didn't bother with those that actually wants this on a disc =).

Nice find Day2Die. Let's just hope this torrent won't meet the same fate as Snow Leopard 10A222(torrent not the real build)...

Torrent seems to have speeded up quite a bit now, I'm getting a reasonable 2.0MB/s

I guess we can use the iso from build 7000 x64. Just open it with PowerISO and replace the files.

That's what I was planning. We're only really missing a bootsector, so that can just be taken from 7000 x64 through the method you describe.

It will slow down once you hit 40-42% =).

Thanks, I'll try that if we manage to download it. Unless Hounsell do it first and prepare the ISO (which means I'll grab the ISO from you Hounsell :P ) I'll have a go at it and see if I can make a bootable version to put on BA.

Fake? The uploader has a ratio of .09 so needs some s/r bad style. I checked out sevenforums.com and can find no reference to a legit leak of 7022 x64.

Edit; It's talked about in this thread, http://www.sevenforums.com/news/4465-wi ... #post42316

A reinstall is required for that kind of upgrade... I guess they figure it isn't worth their time to figure out now, since (according to rumor) Windows 8 will be x64 only they might implement it then, if we get lucky.

Well, they did plan for 7 to be x64, but backed out of it.

I'm currently at 77.7% lol

I reckon mine's got about another 2.5hrs to go. I'm not connected to any seeds, though I think overall there's a complete copy in the many peers now :)

The x64 only era will not come so soon.
Because those dumbasses of microsoft have all the 32bit in the OS as default (like IE and WMP), you can use the x64 versions of them because those are also build in, but it needs a register 'hack' to put them as default, and there isn't adobe flash yet for the 64bit version of IE (AFAIK).

As long they still have all this 32bit software as default, 64bit only is not even near.

No, it's not. Official x64 Flash is only for Linux. It's working pretty nice, which I can confirm. But it's the only platform with x64 Flash. Not Windows with almost 90% share, not OS X with almost 10% share, but Linux with less than 1%...
And on top of that, even though Flash fo x64 Linux is official from Adobe, it's not even announced as stable.

Well, that depends how you define the word "soon". Softwares has begun to offers 64-bit versions (big softwares at least), and drivers support for 64-bit OSes also have been great, I wouldn't mind waiting another 5-6 years for it to take over the X86 world.

To be short Microsoft is expecting more than 50% of windows 7 installs to be 64 bit, as soon as people have 64 bit bit as the majority software will follow.
