Wow, VMWare had this function from 6.5, now it can also be done with VPC!

This looks cool, it reminds of how OS/2 ran 'seamless windows' sessions in that it ran Windows 3.0 (or 3.1) in a VM, but with specialized display drivers that could display session windows onto the OS/2 presentation manager...

I've often wondered why Microsoft didn't use this technology themselves, since they *did* help write it as part of the OS/2 2.0 days....

the direct link is here for the download:

For those of us with crusty applications that NEED IE 5.5sp2 with Microsoft Java, this will be a godsend as shimming Microsoft Java has been a nightmare in the post Windows 2000 sp2 world.

VMWare has 'Seamless Integration' labelled as 'Unity view' in 6.5+. However, VMWare copied this off VirtualBox, and I prefer VirtualBox's implementation.
This Microsoft implementation looks even better from the little I've seen. If anyone could post Screenshots of it in action would be great.
