Microsoft published a full Application compatibility checklist for Windows XP Service Pack 2, however they do not intend to publish one for Windows Vista.
Microsoft is advising users to run the Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT), which includes technology that will allow users to log compatibility problems and cross-check (privately, with Microsoft and other customers) compatibility results for selected applications.
They have not commented on when they plan to release an Application Compatibility checklist previously, however when Brad Goldberg, (Microsoft's general manager for Windows client product management) was asked just over a week ago about Microsoft's plans to make such a list public he said there was not going to be any list.
