YouTube went down a few days ago, and returned with an updated site design and new features. There is one particularly interesting feature that wasn't give much fanfare though. Now, using the abilities of the latest version of Macromedia Flash (can't bring myself to say Adobe) you can plug in a webcam, visit YouTube, and record directly to youtube, without having to record into a program, export it as a file and then upload it. No external software is required. The Flash Player converts the video from the webcam and streams it straight to YouTube's servers where it gets saved as Flash Video and uploaded.

This is a pretty interesting feature. Not only can people videoblog current events in realtime, but now its even easier for teenage girls with no life to giggle into a camera and be seen by millions of people. Now they don't even need Movie Maker :D

Is there a timelimit, and would it be possible to set it to record, then after 5 mins stop and publish?
