Listen here mate, Longhorn is harder to leak than Whistler. and besides, in the months I have been here, there has never been a Longhorn leak. The last leak i am sure was 4039. :p, just be patient, and maybe someone will leak LH 3663 or something soon :), anyways, instead of Longhorn, lets focus on Windows 7.. :P, and please could you be any less graceful for what betas you have now? jesus..

I suggest you calm down and be happy that anything gets leaked at all. If you are unhappy with BA's leaks then I suggest you go elsewhere. BA doesn't charge for you getting FREE builds, BA doesn't force you to get the FREE builds you don't want. People leak stuff here by their own choice, but if it doesn't fit your "requirements" then I suggest you stop be so damn disrespectful and ungrateful to the people that actually take time to give you FREE betas.

Another suggestion is that you contribute some yourself and you'll see how it is on the other side of the fence, ok?

Great post, mrpijey. Took the words right out of my mouth.
@WildEye, yes, it's a Server 2003 beta.

Is there anything particularly notable about these Betas?

If you really want a Longhorn build leaked, try to get build 3790.

For build 2542, new types of product keys are now required to be used.

What other builds exist between 2600 and 3790? I'm most interested in 3505, as that is a really early build number for 2003 server, when it was still named Whistler Server.

Cool! :P

3505 is an early number for Win2k3 server, but it's the last known build for Whistler Server :(

I best get downloading Whistler Server 3505 :D

It's gonna take ages because I have used the download cap and my {Bleep} ISP slows me down to 12Kb/s

Only an extra 150mb or so harder... unless you were referring to finding new builds to leak.

I guess it isn't too late to say welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll learn lots of new things here. It's great to have new members, and even though you have only been here for a few months I'm sure you've already made a few friends :D

I hate to tell you, but this is very unlikely.

I think the forum needs renamed to betaARCHIVE. It seems too many people expect BA to release a two day old build of Windows 7 or something... primarily, BA's place is to archive and protect betas from being lost, rather than release things that everyone will get irrelevant of which group releases them.

How about we focus on the importance of this Release a Week, which is a very important build indeed. Above members are talking about it being the last build of Whistler Server, does that mean the next build we had was given a namechange to Windows .NET Server or whatever, or was there more differences than that?

1. He was trying to demand Longhorn.

2. Yes, because a new longhorn is harder to get than Whistler.

3. lol, thanks :P

4. Probably

5. I know it isnt OMGRECENT ;), but Windows 7 is getting hyped :p

And how many times have you just blatently demanded somthing?
Neither yourself, nor Squidward have the right to criticise each other, as you are both as bad as each other.
And I would say that above all, BA is a community, which is somthing we seem to be losing sight of.
By squabbling with anyone in the community, you hurt the community itself, and in doing so, hurt yourself, and everyone else.

That's because people like you demanding for stuff that makes people unhappy.
People who have them don't want to leak, there's nothing we can do about it.

Don't you feel that it is wrong to demand people to leak what you want?
"Why the [censored] can't someone give me a million dollars?" Answer: cause I don't deserve it. (maybe I do hehe :P )

Or he have members here that actually supply BA with betas instead of just demanding them :P

Let's keep this thread civil. Squidward knows what the deal is now so let's put that to rest now. We all want new betas, and we all want rare and hard to get betas. But remember that these betas don't come onto BA automagically by Andy snapping his fingers... Members get betas because members leaks them.. The door swings both sides you know, we can't all just sit around and wait for 7 to drop here. Get out there and try to find it yourselves, or find ANY unleaked beta for that matter.

I have supplied a few releases to BA, and I am also happy when others release stuff here. Sure I'd like to see Win7 here as well, as well as ultrarare releases, but my life doesn't depend on it... So every release that gets here makes the collection larger and more interesting. Not to mention BA gets a boost.

Well I am sorry if I caused any upset here. I just hope that somebody leaks a Longhorn build before the end of this year so that we can say that one leaked this year!
